POST #7 (All Film Is Construction)

I think The movie Hidalgo did a good job of constructing a Believable reality. Take the wounded knee scene for instance. In the scene there is a lack of communication between the Natives and The Whit men and the white men then slaughter the whole tribe over nothing. This was very close to the truth and really captures the truth of that moment. The rest of the film is believable as well.

Star wars does not construct a believable reality. It uses technology that can't or won't exist for a long time yet the time the movie occurs in is set early in time.

POST #6 (All Film Is Construction)

The steps and costs in a creation of a HOLLYWOOD Film
1. The first step in the movie-making process may start with a source far removed from Hollywood.A would-be Hollywood film maker reads a true story about a man tracking down a lost heir to a vast fortune

2.The rights of the source material is obtained. This often involves a substantial fee paid directly to the author in order to guarantee he or she won't market the book to other film companies.

3.The film maker might need to commission a professional screenwriter to convert the book into a working script.

4.Once a script has been approved by the backers of the film, essential personnel must be hired, including a director, casting director, cinematographer, assistant producers, editor and musical director.

5. Actors are hired and assigned to various Roles in The film

6. The film is then shot in various locations.

7..Directors must work with editors in order to turn miles the film into a watchable two-hour movie This includes adding special effects and music.

8.The movie must be promoted to influential reviewers and media outlets, This includes Trailers, Posters and actors promoting the movie.

9. The movie is then watched distributed to Theatres. Then you can see the movie almost anywhere

1Q. Choose a source of information that you use regularly.  If this is a source that you use and trust, you must be having a preferred reading to either its content or the company itself. What about this source is appealing to you?

1A. I use this source because it always is updating and adding new material and you can search for find literally almost anything you want to search.

2Q. Who owns your source? Is it owned by a larger company? Is it privately owned or traded on the stock market? Who owns the most stock? Try to find the overall parent company.

2A. The parent company is the WikiMedia Foundation. Jimmy Wales is a co-founder of Wikipedia and owns most of it as well. The Articles, by law, are still owned by the people who contributed them.

3Q. Who is the head of your source? This could be a CEO or head editor. Ultimately, who is the boss? Provide some detail about this person.

3A. The boss is mainly Jimmy Wales but Wikipedia is owned by a non-profit organization.

4Q. What are the commercial implications of your source? How do they make money?

4A. They do not make money. The company that owns Wikipedia is a non-profit organization.

5Q. Looking at the content of your source, how does the need to make money impact the content of your source? Explain with detail?

5A. The need for money doesn't affect Wikipedia and it's content because as I said before the company that owns Wikipedia is a non-profit organization.

1. Rambo is a tough guy who is muscular and never wears a shirt. He always has a big gun within arms reach. He doesn't show emotions and has no fear. He doesn't need any help and usually goes solo on his missions.

2.Yes. It is consistent with what was portrayed as a real man in tough guise because Rambo is the embodiment of tough in the movie. He kills hundreds of enemies, shows not pain or weakness, doesn't need anybody to help him and is muscular and fit.

POST #2 (all media is construction)

In this photo the differences are that the one on the right is glowing more, skin tone is perfect, breast size is larger and that her hair is fixed and looks better. My emotional reaction is Between she is hot and disgust. \the message in this is that you have to look like the model on the cover to be beautiful.

In this image the difference is that they made her nose smaller her jaw line more curved ans sleek, made her face shine brighter, made her cheek bones more defined and fixed her hair. My reaction to this was thats terrible. \I think she looks fine originally but the people who made the ad obviously did not thinks so and i find that very disturbing.

Post #1 (Frank's Pizza Empire is Sexy)

1.In this Advertisement A hot girl seductively eats pizza while a fat guy (Frank) tries to act sexy while making pizza but looks ridiculous. Then the logo for GoDaddy.com shows up and says get a website domain from them.

2 It is memorable because it is really funny and makes you laugh really hard and you want to watch it again. It is sort of a "what did I just see" moment.

3 The add is not directed at me. The add is directed at people who want to get a website doamin and that have a sense of humor as well.
